A head-on crash involving two cars on the A-7 highway resulted in injuries to two individuals early Friday morning. The accident occurred around 3:40 AM at kilometer 1.059, heading towards Málaga.

A 46-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were both taken to the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella after receiving emergency care at the scene. The woman was trapped in one of the vehicles due to the impact, necessitating a rescue operation by firefighters who used specialized equipment to free her.

According to sources from the Andalucía Emergency Services 112, the collision took place during a time of low traffic on the A-7. The driver’s entrapment required a coordinated effort from emergency responders.

Emergency teams on site included firefighters, who performed the extraction, medical personnel who stabilized the injured, and the Traffic Civil Guard, which managed traffic flow and initiated an investigation into the accident.

Both victims were transported to the hospital with serious but stable conditions, pending further evaluation.

The investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing, and traffic on that section of the A-7 was restored after rescue and medical operations concluded.
