Residents of Estepona and Marbella can now travel to Barcelona with a single integrated ticket, although the journey will take more than ten hours.

This new daily connection is made possible by the expansion of the Tren+Bus service operated by Renfe and Avanza, which combines bus and high-speed train travel under one ticket.

Travelers will first take a bus from Estepona or Marbella to Malaga, where they will then switch to a high-speed train headed for Catalunya. The train stops at Lleida Pirineus and Camp de Tarragona before reaching its final destination in Barcelona.

The return trip departs Barcelona at 8:30 AM, arriving in Malaga approximately seven hours later, followed by a bus ride back to Estepona or Marbella. The total travel time varies between nine and eleven hours depending on the final destination.

The primary advantage of this service is its convenience, allowing passengers to book both bus and train travel together without needing to arrange each leg of the journey separately.

However, pet owners should note that animals are not permitted on Tren+Bus tickets.
