Manilva’s town hall is taking steps to address parking difficulties while also enhancing recreational options for families. A proposal has been put forward for an underground car park featuring over 600 spaces, located in the Corredor Verde area, which connects Puerto de La Duquesa to El Castillo. This initiative aims to alleviate the existing parking challenges in this popular region.
While the proposal awaits approval, town officials are currently evaluating the details, with a decision expected in the coming weeks. If the plan moves forward, the council will initiate the licensing process for a private firm to construct and manage the facility.
In addition to the parking solution, families in Manilva can look forward to a new water park planned for Plaza de la Amistad, near Martin Carpena. This development responds to local requests for more leisure activities and will feature water games designed specifically for young children, making it an ideal spot for summer fun. Town representatives have already visited the site to assess its suitability.
Both projects aim to enhance daily life in Manilva by reducing parking stress and providing enjoyable summer activities for residents and visitors alike.
