A 37-year-old man was taken to the Regional Hospital of Malaga in critical condition after suffering a stab wound to the chest.

The National Police have arrested a 52-year-old individual, suspected of attacking his roommate in their residence located in the Vista Golf urbanization, in the Resinera-Voladilla area of Estepona.

The incident occurred shortly after 8:00 PM on Monday, August 17, when emergency services received a call reporting a fight between two men inside the home.

The emergency coordination center promptly dispatched medical personnel from 061 and patrols from the National Police. Upon arrival, officers found one of the occupants with a severe stab wound to the chest, close to the heart, as confirmed by police sources to various media outlets.

The victim was stabilized at the scene by medical staff before being urgently transported to the Regional University Hospital of Malaga, where he remains in critical condition. Meanwhile, police arrested the alleged assailant at the scene.
