Estepona is set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Harry Potter film series with a series of free family-friendly events from September 3 to 5. The local Town Hall, in collaboration with Asociacion Unicornio, is hosting ’25 Años de Magia’ to commemorate the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in Spanish cinemas on November 30, 2001.
The festivities kick off on Thursday, September 3, at 9:30 PM with an outdoor screening of the first film at Parque Botanico Orquidario, a popular spot for plant enthusiasts throughout the year.
On Friday, September 4, Calle Terraza will be buzzing from noon until midnight, featuring life-size replicas of Harry Potter, a troll, and a Thestral. Merch stalls will be available, providing ample opportunities for photos and fun for both seasoned fans and newcomers alike.
The Centro Cultural Padre Manuel will host a Harry Potter-themed escape room on the same day from 3 PM to 9 PM. Although the initial slots filled up quickly, additional sessions may be added, and interested parties can check availability at survivalmagic.es.
A magical parade, ‘Pasacalles Magico’, will depart from the Orquidario at 8 PM, winding through the historic center and concluding at Plaza del Reloj. The Banda Sinfonica Ciudad de Jaen will perform memorable film scores at 9 PM, resonating with fans of all ages.
On Saturday, September 5, from 10 AM to 2 PM, the cultural center will feature various Harry Potter-themed table games, including Dominoes and Trivial Pursuit, on a first-come, first-served basis, free of charge.
